Mr. Jacob Hunter

High School Advisor

Mr. Hunter is from DeWitt, IA and was a '07 graduate from Central DeWitt High School. He then continued his education at Iowa State University studying Agriculture and Life Science Education. Mr. Jacob Hunter was the former Director of Iowa Education Programs at the World Food Prize. He has had 7 years of experience being an Agricultural Teacher and FFA Advisor. In 2018, he was named Iowa State's Emerging Leader.


Mr. Hunter has been with the North Scott School District for 4 years.

Mrs. Jennifer Westphal

Junior High Advisor

Originally from Grand Mound, Mrs. Westphal will be starting her sixth year of teaching agriculture education. It will be her second year at North Scott. Mrs. Westpahl was an elementary teacher for 2 years prior to becoming an agriculture teacher. Mrs. Westphal and her husband farm near Delmar, where they have a cow/calf herd and raise cash crops. She received her undergrad in Animal Science from Western Illinois University, Masters in Business Administration from St. Ambrose University and has finished up her Masters in Agricultural Education from Iowa State University in May of 2019.
